Vitamin A (retinol) is the youth vitamin. Its stimulating action reduces the skin ageing process. It acts as a normalizing agent and is responsible for the regulation of the growth of skin cells. When the skin is exposed to retinol for a longer time it transmits into the deeper layers of the epidermis, which results in collagen and elastin production, which in turn, leads to greater firmness and elasticity of the skin. The amount of hyaluronic acid in the skin decreases with age. This acid is responsible for proper skin hydration and vitamin A stimulates its production.
