What is a curly girl?

The Curly Girl method is a newly popular hair care method that aims to emphasize and treat natural hair. Frizz decreases and curls become clearer and more beautifully curved, allowing many curly hairs to keep their own natural hair and hair strenuous straightening out.

The idea of ​​the Curly Girl method is to wash and treat hair only with products that do not contain sulphates, alcohol to be dried or silicone. The hair is also not brushed, except for the condition of the conditioner, the hair can be cleared with a comb. However, the method does not allow straight or slightly flexible hair to curl, even though the treating and moisturizing products are of course suitable for these hair types. When the method is applied correctly and patiently, the results begin to grow slowly and the curls become really beautiful, clear and smoother. Of course, the results are unique to everyone, and not all of the products that fit into the method ingredients work equally well for everyone. It is worth exploring and trying out different products until you find the right products for you.

Method steps:

1 - final Wash Before starting the method, make a shampoo that removes silicones from the hair and remnants of styling products. Sulfate-containing shampoo that does not contain silicone. This should not be done any more during the method.

2 - co-wash Hair care for the conditioner. Wash your hair as if you were using shampoo, ie rub the conditioner onto the scalp and rinse well.

3 - condition Conditioner. Let it work for 1-3 minutes, during which you should use your fingers or a sparse hair to find out. You can also use hair masking at this stage.

4 - leave-in-conditioner Leave-in conditioner, usually a spray. Spray and squeeze it into wet hair.

5 - styling A styling product that keeps curls in check. The product can be a cream, gel or mousse, it is also pressed evenly on wet hair.

6 - ploping, ie hair drying, eg inside an old t-shirt. Do not use a regular towel. The t-shirt is lifted to something higher so that the hair can be lifted onto the shirt and the shirt is wrapped / lifted into the turban for hair. This should not be done so that the hair hangs because the curls will straighten.

7 - Drying of Dry Hair When dry, the hair is pressed down by hand and the hardness of the styling product is removed, making the hair lighter and softer. Do not brush your hair. Individual wares can be dealt with with a few combs.
